YEPETE’S LLC

The first key to empowerment is to know your culture. Culture usually refers to the norms or systems of behavior that are passed down from one generation to another....It is through culture that members of a group know who and what they are, and how to behave.

The Meaning of Yepete

Yepete is a West African term which means specifically the African Diaspora. I learned about the term during my African Cultural education training under the tutelage of Dr. Kwabena Faheem Ashanti, Professor and traditional healer by way of Ghana. Since my training, It has been my mission to reconnect with people of African descent, my ancestral roots, and in the process, share my experiences and provide wonderful hand crafted products with you as I build this buisness!

 African Style & Quality

All of our products are crafted by Africans and display the customs and high quality of African craftsmanship at reasonable prices. Most products are seasonal but can be obtained upon request (given 2.5-3 weeks shipping notice). Check with us periodically for updates and new products.

100% Handmade

Most of our products are sourced directly from Ghana, West Africa or the Yepete (diaspora) in Caribbean nations. They are hand made in their places of origin while my special line of shea butter products, Anan's Organic Shea Butters, I produce myself using only high quality ingredients. Because our products are handmade, some variations in appearance may occur. This adds to the uniqueness of the items.
